We are pleased to announce that we are now permitted to provide all dental procedures and services. Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months. Smile Center is committed to the safety of our patients and our team. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs. We thank you for your understanding during this changing time.

We follow recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and our team.

Smile Center has implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff. We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between appointments.

Upon arrival at our office,
  • Call us before entering the building to let us know you have arrived. We will call or text you once the office is ready for you to enter.
  • We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied.
  • A member of our team will meet you at the door to take your temperature with a contactless thermometer.
  • Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry.
  • A COVID-19 questionnaire will be reviewed with you.

Clear plastic screens (sneeze guards) have been installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens. Air exchange devices and new suction systems have been obtained and are being used to ensure the safety of patients and team.

Our doctors and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE).

Thank you for being part of our family dental practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.

Having a NY area emergency dentist on your side is important

At the Smile Center, Dr. Gordon Kent and his team are here to help patients in all types of situations. Many patients are seeking a dentist in the NY area when they are faced with an emergency. Emergencies happen when we least expect them. Dental emergencies typically include issues such as:

  • A tooth that has been knocked out of the mouth during impact
  • Broken teeth that have been damaged due to injury or biting something that is too hard
  • Severe toothaches that can make it virtually impossible to function during the day or sleep at night
  • Bleeding after oral surgery that will not clot
  • Broken restorations including dentures, crowns, bridges, and veneers

If any of these situations occur to your smile, it is important to have an emergency dentist on your side. Dr. Gordon Kent’s practice is equipped with some of the most advanced technologies to help him assist in most any dental issue. When patients are struggling with a dental problem and need help from a dentist, he is here!

Emergency dentists often leave appointment times open throughout their day to accommodate those who are faced with the unexpected. We want our patients to be able to obtain same day appointments whenever necessary so they do not have to wait with a damaged smile. We want to get patients into our practice as soon as possible, especially when time is of a concern. This includes situations where a patient had a tooth knocked out. To reattach, there are certain steps that must be taken to ensure success. If the patient is unable to have the adult tooth replaced, we offer restorations including dental implants, dentures, and bridges which can be used to restore the smile.

Dr. Gordon Kent and the team of the Smile Center is readily available to assist new and existing patients with their dental emergencies. Now is a great time to connect with us and tour our facility. We can put you at ease in the event of a dental emergency which can occur at any time.

The Smile Center has been a reliable office for over 6 years! I have been greeted warmly, treated with respect and welcomed into their family. The hygienists (shoutout to Mary) especially make the appointment a pleasant experience. The wait time is almost always under 10 minutes. The front desk people are on top of the game as well! Definitely recommend.
