We are pleased to announce that we are now permitted to provide all dental procedures and services. Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months. Smile Center is committed to the safety of our patients and our team. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs. We thank you for your understanding during this changing time.

We follow recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and our team.

Smile Center has implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff. We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between appointments.

Upon arrival at our office,
  • Call us before entering the building to let us know you have arrived. We will call or text you once the office is ready for you to enter.
  • We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied.
  • A member of our team will meet you at the door to take your temperature with a contactless thermometer.
  • Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry.
  • A COVID-19 questionnaire will be reviewed with you.

Clear plastic screens (sneeze guards) have been installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens. Air exchange devices and new suction systems have been obtained and are being used to ensure the safety of patients and team.

Our doctors and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE).

Thank you for being part of our family dental practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.

Are you searching for the best dentist for convenient, compassionate care in Buffalo, NY 14225?

There are more than 400 general dentists to choose from in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metro. General dentists make up the bulk of the 143,000 dentists reportedly practicing in North America.

Many general dentists’ offices don’t have the breadth and depth of services offered by the Smile Center. The typical standard procedures include:

  • Examination of teeth, gums, jaw
  • Preventive sealants, hygiene education
  • Removal of tooth decay
  • Repair of cracked, damaged teeth
  • Cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening
  • Placement of restorations, appliances such as crowns, dentures

As a jack-of-all-trades, general practitioners frequently refer patients to one of nine types of specialists, including endodontists for difficult root canal therapies or oral or maxillofacial surgeons for sedation dentistry and dental implants.

Modern dental implants were born in the 1950s. By the mid-1980s, Dr. Kent was rebuilding teeth from the root up with this procedure, making the Smile Center the first office in Greater Buffalo to do so. This unmatched experience applies to every step of the process from the surgery to the position of the new tooth root in the jaw to the restored tooth itself.

While many dentists administer “laughing gas” to help patients relax, the Smile Center met strict licensing requirements to safely administer higher levels of enteral and IV sedation. Additional options help our most skittish patients feel comfortable when undergoing even the most complex treatments.

Overall, depth of experience isn’t sacrificed for breadth of experience at the Smile Center. These two characteristics exist in harmony to benefit our patients.

More than a diverse menu of services

The American Dental Association underscores the importance soliciting recommendations before making an appointment with a new dentist. The many positive reviews we have received from patients over the years are cause to smile and evidence that our tagline (“We cater to cowards”) is more than lip service. When patients tell us they actually look forward to seeing our team, it is confirmation our approach to services is working. After all, it’s unheard of to look forward to a dental appointment, right?

We also offer a number of options you may not have heard of, because they aren’t typical of dentist offices nationally, or in our area of the state. For example, the Smile Center Plan eliminates stress associated with how to pay for procedures. Members without insurance or other dental plans get the treatments they need at discounted prices. Free exams and cleanings are included within the annual fee.

Immediate dentures are another option you will not see at every office. By placing healing dentures during the same appointment as the extraction of remaining teeth, you will never be toothless. With some remaining teeth present, our team can better recreate the natural shape, shade, and position of your teeth. Even if you have other types of dental insurance, we can reduce financial stress with financing plans to stretch the remaining balance of your denture or other restoration over a longer timeframe.

Compassionate, convenient care for the long haul

We know the importance of establishing a relationship with a dentist you can trust. A CDC study estimates 25 percent to 50 percent of damaging tooth decay can be prevented with professional cleaning, fluoride gels and varnishes.

Regardless of where you are at in your journey to dental health, when searching for the best dentist in Buffalo, NY 14225, we would be honored if that search ended at the Smile Center. Schedule a time to visit us for the first time ever or to reconnect with us.
